Stormy Weather
August 11, 2020
We’re in rough waters. They’re unpredictable and hard to navigate. And most of us aren’t really trained to be so seaworthy. But, as many before us have done, we can and must persevere.
You’ve got this. Whatever your “this” is. You’ve got it. And you don’t have to go it alone. Our world is filled with tremendous resources and the best ones are often free and nearby. So reach out. Ask for help if you need it. And when you do:
- Remember that asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of strength and perseverance.
- Know that you are not a burden. EVERYONE has seasons in their life that feel overwhelming. Sharing, commiserating, venting, asking for advice or whatever you need to get through this builds inner strength and deepens relationships.
- Understand that those trusted individuals to whom you reach for may feel honored you chose them.
And finally, just breathe. You’ve got this.
